Whipped Greek Yogurt with Protein Powder

If you haven't tried whipping Greek yogurt with protein powder, this is your sign. The texture changes to one that is light, fluffy and almost pudding like. The addition of protein powder and peanut butter in this recipe makes things a little more filling and substantial. Topping it with berries and your favourite granola turns it into a filling, delicious and nutritious breakfast or snack.

How to Make Greek Yogurt with protein powder

This recipe couldn't be easier to make. All you need to do is decide how you want to whip the Greek yogurt.

I love using this cordless immersion blender from Cuisinart because it's quick and easy to clean afterwards. You could use a stand mixer, food processor, or handheld mixer.

Once you've decided what you want to use, it's time to whip up this Greek yogurt with protein powder.

In a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, food processor or standing jar for an immersion blender, add the yogurt, protein powder, cocoa powder, vanilla and peanut butter.

Tips

  • Mix well: whether you use a stand mixer, handheld mixer, food processor or an immersion blender, it's best to use something high powered to really blend everything together. This will result in a light, fluffy texture.
  • Protein powder: I prefer using a whey protein powder as it results in a light, fluffy texture. Be sure you like the taste of whichever protein powder you use.

Substitutions

  • Peanut butter (all natural): use a different type of nut/seed butter such as cashew, almond or tahini. You can also omit it if you'd like.
  • Chocolate: use vanilla protein powder and omit the cocoa powder for a different flavour. You can skip the vanilla extract if using vanilla protein powder.
