Holistic Foodie is who I am and it encompasses how I live my life on a daily basis. Becoming Holistic Foodie was not something that happened over night and it took years of self discovery and learning what it was that completely fuelled me and kept me going. Living a life where I simply lived for the weekends, loathed my day-to-day grind and got a case of “The Mondays” much too often was just not appealing to me anymore. I wanted more from life, I wanted to feel passionate about things again and I wanted to commit to a life where I looked forward to every new day and embraced each and every opportunity with an open mind. After coming face to face with how quickly life can change in one short moment, I set out to change how I viewed my world and I have never looked back.
I gave up trying to climb the corporate ladder (not easy for a Capricorn to do) and instead focused on my health, my wellness and my relationship to food and the world. I stopped labeling my diet or myself and learned to define health on my own terms. Holistic Foodie is fuelled by all things fresh, that means: fresh foods, farmers markets, sunshine, beaches, cooking, smoothies and meditation (to help keep me feeling fresh!).
Holistic Foodie is all about breaking the conventional rules regarding what it means to live healthy, ditching diet trends and fad diets and learning to be in tune with what your body, mind and soul need to thrive and live your best life.
