
I can safely say (and I am sure almost anyone would agree) breakups SUCK! Recently, in November/December 2018 I went through my first major heartbreak and it nearly broke me. In fact, for a time, it did break me. I couldn’t focus on anything, had zero appetite, couldn’t sleep and cried more than I ever thought possible. When I was going through it, I didn’t think I’d ever get past it. It felt like the hurt, anger, disappointment and sadness would stay with me forever. In the months that followed the breakup, I managed to work on a few things that really helped me feel stronger than I had ever felt before. Self care after a breakup is possible and today I am sharing five ways I learned how to practice self-care.
