One of my favourite supplements to take on a daily basis is collagen. I have been taking collagen for the past few years and have been using Sproos for the past six months exclusively. I really love this collagen and company for their dedication to quality and to sourcing. All ingredients are non-GMO and organic whenever possible. Sproos also always opts for grass-fed animals and wild-caught fish, and uses packaging that is recyclable and BPA-free.
So why take collagen? Collagen is a key component for the maintenance of healthy skin, gut and joints. Collagen is a protein made up of long chains of linked amino acids. It’s actually the most abundant source of protein in our entire body. You can think of collagen as a foundational building block, providing strength and structure for our connective tissues. Which means it’s essential to the function of skin, blood vessels, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and the digestive system.
Sadly, our body’s natural collagen production peaks in our early twenties and slowly declines as we age, by about 1.5% per year, to be exact. The good news is that consuming collagen has been found to curb this natural decline.
The main dietary source of collagen is derived from animals, specifically, the parts of the animals that aren’t popular in today’s recipes. Traditional diets that included the whole animal were also rich in collagen. Modern diets need a boost – so unless you are a fan of substituting bone broth for your coveted morning coffee – it’s time to discover collagen supplements.

I have found that taking collagen has made a difference in the appearance of my skin and my gut the most. My skin is smoother looking since using collagen consistently and has really made my hair grow like crazy. Plus my nails are stronger than they ever were before.
These are my personal faves from Sproos Life and I hope you love them too! I love adding the flavoured blends to my water when I am working out and anytime after as it makes it taste better and I end up drinking more water.
