Description
A delicious and healthy homemade version of nutella granola, made with gluten free oats, hazelnuts, cocoa and maple syrup!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup raw hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the maple syrup, almond butter, cocoa powder, and sea salt. Add the oats, hazelnuts and chia seeds and stir to combine. Transfer to the baking sheet, pressing down in an even layer.
- Place in the oven to bake for 18 minutes, then remove, carefully flip (or simply rotate the pan, if you want large chunks of granola) and place back in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes more. I prefer simply rotating the pan to get bigger chunks of granola.
- Remove from the oven and add the chocolate chips. Let cool on the baking sheet completely before breaking apart large pieces and storing.
