There are lots of health and wellness products out there, some are great and some not so much. But, did you know there are also a lot of products that are fab and won’t cost you an arm and a leg?! So, today I want to break it down for you and show you some of my favourite health and wellness products under $25!
Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream, 100% Pure, $19: This eye cream is perfect for de-puffing your bags and brightening up dark circles thanks to the caffeine in it from green tea and coffee. Say goodbye to those panda-eyes!
Drinking Chocolate, Affect Health, $21.00: I am on my second bag of this stuff and I cannot get enough! Made with raw organic cacao, powdered coconut milk with a hint of cinnamon, this stuff is so good to have on hand and makes an excellent hot chocolate or chocolate smoothie. It is also sugar free, magnesium rich and just so damn tasty, you won’t be able to stop drinking it, I am warning you now!
Nightly Zen Loose Lead Tea, Affect Health, $18.95: This tea has really helped me to catch up on my zzzzzzz’s thanks to the formulation of different herbs like valerian, passionflower, skullcap and oat straw. The whole line itself is formulated from ND’s who really know their stuff and are passionate about spreading good vibes and good health. This blend helps to calm down a racing mind and reduce stress while promoting a state of calm before bed, which is totally me most of the time! I also gave some of this to a friend who was dealing with insomnia issues and she loved it as well.
Toasted Coconut Chips, Jax & Coco, $5.50: I am in love with the chili and lime flavour! These are a great snack to have on hand when you want something salty and satisfying, but because they are made with coconut, they are also a good source of healthy fat too, plus they are free of most common allergens like wheat and dairy.
Juicy Bamboo Facial Cleansing Cloths, $15.50: Although I am a big proponent of the double cleanse method, I did enjoy these on those lazy af nights when the last thing on my mind was double cleansing. These are different than ordinary makeup remover wipes as these will actually cleanse your skin as well, plus they smell amazing!
Lemon Lily Tea, prices range: I love these local loose leaf teas! They are made with some unique herbs and ingredients, I use the daily balance one and the London fog for whenever I feel like making one, which is a lot!Serenity Blend Bath Salts, Inspired Soap Works, $8.50: I love this blend for when I want to relax and unwind in a nice bath at homes, it has rose petals in it to make you feel extra special and a little romantic.
Organic Spicy Coconut Lentil Soup, The Soup Girl, $12.50: I love all of these soups from Soup Girl for nights when you just cant fathom making dinner but don’t want to go out or order in. They make a big batch, so be prepared for leftovers!
Giddy YoYo Chocolates, prices range: These are not your typical chocolate bars, this is food. Made with super clean and amazing ingredients and completely raw, these also taste unlike any other chocolate. My favourites include the raspberry, vanilla, chaga, spirulina, 76% dark, mint and original. Tranquility Essential Oil, Sage Wellness, $18.95: Since getting some sage products for Christmas, I cannot get enough of the essential oils and my diffuser. It helps to calm me down and it just makes my place smell amazing.
Natural Calm Magnesium, price ranges on where you can find it: Magnesium is an important trace mineral that unfortunately a lot of people tend to be deficient in. By taking this supplement at night, it helps to calm down your muscles and your mind as it also eases anxiety and a racing mind.
100% Pure Bee Pollen, Bee Keepers Naturals, $24.99: This one just made it on this list, but the pollen is worth it! You don’t need very much, especially if you have never had bee pollen before, so a little can go a long way. It is rich in protein and natural enzymes and this brand ensures that their products are ethically sourced, which is very important for the bees and the environment. And although, my other favourite product of theirs, Bee Powered, doesn’t make the list as it is over $25, I want to give a shoutout to this one too, as it is truly unlike any other honey/bee products out there. Propolis is amazing for immune support!
The Love and Lemons Cookbook, price varies: This has been one of my fave and go-to cookbooks for a little while now and I cannot get enough. There are tons of cookbooks out there and I have a lot of them, but I love the way this one is broken down by ingredients and is designed to inspire you to try new veggies, herbs and fruits.
The Universe Has Your Back, Gabrielle Bernstein, price varies: I am sure if you have followed Gabby for a while, you are familiar with her work and her mantra, which is all about the good vibes and trusting in the universe. This book helps to break it down and also provides you with specifics on how to implement new strategies, her personality and lovely attitude shine through on every page.
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar, price varies: How original of me (as a nutritionist) to post this, right? But in fairness, this is a health product that I use a lot. I make my own salad dressings because I think it is a waste of money to buy store bought ones and raw ACV is a go-to ingredient in my concoctions all the time. Look for raw and unpasteurized to ensure that it contains the beneficial gut bacteria.
Conscious Coconut Oil, $24.99: You definitely don’t need to spend so much on a good coconut oil, but this one is different because it comes in a tube which is perfect for keeping in your bathroom or traveling with. Use it for oil pulling, moisturizing your skin, hair masks and anything else!
Reusable Food Wrap, price ranges around $18: These are new to me and seem super interesting, I am going to be buying some soon! They are made from beeswax, tree resin, organic jojoba oil infused into an organic cotton and hemp cloth, so definitely hippie approved. They are reusable and breathable and last a year or longer and you simply wash them in cold water with mild/natural soap. Seriously these things are GENIUS!
Tinkle Razor Pack, $6.58: Yeah, so I shave my face… after reading about it on The Skinny Confidential, I thought to myself, this is crazy, no way am I going to do this. But, then I went ahead and did it and I have never looked back. It turns out plenty of women have been doing this for years, but don’t admit to it, for obvious reasons, it doesn’t sound very ladylike. But, peach fuzz is real and its on your face and in the summer especially, I don’t want to look like I have facial hair because the sun glistening off it would make it look more noticeable. It is a game changer, your face is so smooth after and makes your makeup look better. Don’t be embarrassed by it, embrace the shave, I am telling you, you will love it. And no, your hair doesn’t grow in thicker or darker, it will just come back as peach fuzz again. For more deets on how to do it, check our Lauryn’s blog and see her post!
Herbamare, $12.99: I love sprinkling this on everything, popcorn, avo toast, meats, anything! It basically replaces sea salt, as it has sea salt in it as well as other dried herbs that give your food some major flavour. People often assume that salt is bad, but in fact sea salt contains a lot of minerals that are essential, the key here is using quality sea salt rather than table salt, you can read more about that here. You can also find this at Costco for cheaper, that is where I buy mine!
That wraps up this edition! Hopefully this can show you that buying and using health and wellness products don’t have to cost too much. I also shop a lot at Costco and it has saved me a ton on so many products I was already buying and using. I plan on doing a Facebook Live all about my favourite Costco products, so please join me over at my Holistic Foodie Community to catch that and stay connected.
Share with me some of your favourite health and wellness products that are under $25, (or not) I wanna know!
